Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Echo Development LLC ("Echo," "we," "us") collects through our apps and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to every app we publish on the App Store unless that app links to its own policy.
The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and your training, we don't sell your data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Information we collect
Account information
- Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple shares a unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email address. If you choose "Hide My Email," we receive a private relay address instead of your real one.
- Profile. The display name you set, the creator and program you follow, and when you joined.
Information you give us in the app
- Onboarding answers, such as your goals, experience level and training preferences, which we use to recommend a program, and how you found the app.
- Workout activity, such as the workouts you complete, the sets and reps you log, the weights or times you record, and your streaks.
- Messages you send us, for example when you email support.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple tells us which subscriptions are active on your account and when they renew or expire so we can unlock the right content.
Technical information
Like most online services, our servers and content-delivery providers automatically receive basic technical data when the app loads content, such as IP address, device and OS type, app version, and timestamps. We use it to deliver content, keep the service secure and fix problems.
What we don't collect
We don't access your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera, and we don't read data from Apple Health unless an app explicitly asks for your permission to do so first. This website doesn't use cookies or third-party trackers.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To recommend a program, stream workout videos, and save your progress across devices.
- To manage your subscription and give you access to what you've paid for.
- To respond to support requests and send service messages, such as important account or policy changes.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it, and to share aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics with the creators whose programs appear in the app.
- To comply with the law and protect the rights and safety of our users and of Echo.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who host and operate our infrastructure on our behalf, currently a managed database and authentication provider, a cloud storage and content-delivery provider for workout video, and Apple for sign-in and payments. They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
- With creators, only as aggregated statistics (for example, how many people are following a program) that don't identify you.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect rights, safety or property.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
If we add analytics or crash-reporting tools, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before they go live.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@echoappdev.com from the address linked to your account, or from within the app where that option is available. We'll delete your profile and workout history within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; manage that in your iPhone's Settings.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your profile in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email support@echoappdev.com. We'll respond within the time the law requires and won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-user data isolation in our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
International users
Echo is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using our apps, you understand your information may be transferred to and stored in those locations.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
